PURPOSE

The purpose of this activity is to describe the process to asses annual training needs, update organizational tactical plan and develop a training schedule.

INPUTS

  • Company 3-Year Strategic Plan

ENTRY CRITERIA

  • Company 3-Year Strategic Plan is released
  • Company Annual Operational Plan is released
  • Organizational Training 3-Year Strategic Plan is released

SUB-ACTIVITIES

  1. Assess Annual Training Needs

    • Collect technical training needs assessment from Business Unit Development Managers
    • Consolidate business unit assessments
    • Map available training resources to training needs
  2. Create Organizational Training Tactical Plan

    • Identify & document performance gaps

    • Document organizational-level, project-level and compliance training needs

      • Organizational-level: Training provided to employees across multiple projects/teams
      • Project-level: Training unique to the tools or methods used by a project/team
      • Compliance: Training in safety, security and human factors
    • Review identified training needs with Executive stakeholders

      • Assess target audience, budget and schedule
    • Update OT Product List

  3. Create Training Schedule

    • Create schedule for training
    • Publish training dates

EXIT CRITERIA

  • Organizational Training Tactical Plan is released
  • Company Calendar reflects delivered and forecasted training
