The purpose of this activity is to describe the process to identify training needs, resources, and determine the training delivery approach.

- Organizational Training Tactical Plan is released
- Company Calendar reflects delivered and forecasted training
SUB-ACTIVITIES¶
Identify Training Need
Determine Delivery Approach
- Facilitator-led training
- Computer-based training
Identify Resources to Develop Internally or Acquire Externally
- This will be dependent on multiple factors: cost, availability of in-house expertise and availability of training externally. An in-depth technical review must be completed when an external technical resource is identified as a resource.
Acquire/create training materials
For Facilitator-Led Training, the following must be considered for materials developed interally:
- Develop learning objectives
- Determine who should attend
- Identify training needs mapped to OT Training Plan
- Identify facilitators
- Determine length of course
- Determine size of class
- Determine timed outline
- Identify and create course materials
- Develop training content
- Determine pre-work and post-work tasks
- Submit materials and supporting artifacts to TechPubs/OT for review and release
For computer-based training, the following must be considered:
- Develop learning objectives
- Develop training content
- Create visual aids and script for media recording
- Submit storyboard and materials for review and release
OUTPUTS¶

- Training materials and supporting artifacts
EXIT CRITERIA¶
- Facilitator-led training or Computer-based training is ready to be delivered
