Source and Screen for Candidates¶

PURPOSE¶
Identify and document activities for the recruiting and hiring team to screen and source for candidates to fill job openings.
WHEN¶
Performed every time a Requisition ID is approved.
INPUTS¶
Approved requisition ID
ENTRY CRITERIA¶
A requisition ID has been approved and opened on the Hiring Plan.
SUB-ACTIVITIES¶
Source for Leads
- Identify sourcing strategy/plan as per initial Intake Call/Meeting.
- Recruiter develops leads using various recruiting tools, job boards, etc.
Screen Resumes
- The recruiting and hiring team collaborate to identify candidates for recruiter phone screens.
Conduct Phone Screens and Assess Qualifications
- Once potential candidates are identified, recruiter conducts 30-minute phone screen(s) to move forward or eliminate from potential candidate pool.
- If applicant is declined, they go no further in the process and are informed and thanked via email.
- Capture interview notes to include clearance eligibility, salary, location, culture fit/motivation, and main technology skills, forward to the hiring manager.
EXIT CRITERIA¶
- Potential candidates are identified and screened.
- Screened candidates are moved to technical phone interview with hiring team or technical team.
