PURPOSE

Peer recognition (also known as TIP Card Recognition) awards are designed to recognize special contributions, as they occur, for a specific project or task. A TIP recognition award lets employees know that someone has noticed their noteworthy contribution. Employees can recognize a peer who has exhibited any of the behaviors associated with InnovaSystems’ TIP values (Trust, Innovation and Passion). The behaviors for each value can be found within the online recognition form in InnovaNet.

Each strategic year (April 1 – March 31), employees are allotted three TIP Cards to use in recognizing a fellow employee at either a team meeting or local town hall. Each card is worth $25 and provided to the recognized employee in their paycheck.

SUB-ACTIVITIES

  1. Submit TIP Card Recognition Form

    • Employee: Select the employee to be recognized.
    • Value: Select the appropriate value.
    • Behaviors: Select associated behavior that the employee exhibited.
    • Recognition Presented By: Select who will present the TIP Card. Presentation can be deferred to a team lead, BUL, or Executive.
    • Recognition Presented At: Select a date for the TIP Card to be presented to the recognized employee. This can either be at a team meeting or town hall. If at a town hall, select the upcoming town hall location where the recognized employee works. For employees outside of InnovaSystems primary office locations, select the Remote Town Hall.
    • Headline: Provide a short sentence that captures the nature of the recognition.
    • Additional comments: Provide further explanation of the recognition (if needed).
  2. Presentation of the TIP Card

    • If presented at a team meeting, a local HR representative will provide the TIP Card to the employee who will present the recognition by the team meeting date.
    • If presented at a town hall meeting, HR will prepare the TIP cards for presentation. Reminders will be sent to the presenters and TIP card recipients to ensure they are in attendance to either present or accept the award.
    • Once TIP cards are presented, Accounting will be notified to process the bonus award.
