Create & Approve Requisition ID

PURPOSE

Identify and document the business needs and goals to create and approve a RID to add additional staff to the company.

WHEN

Performed every time the company determines there is a business need to create a new position, whether due to expansion or attrition

PARTICIPATING ROLES

ENTRY CRITERIA

A hiring need has been identified within the company

SUB-ACTIVITIES

  1. Create RID

    • Need for RID is established and confirmed by executive budget holder, i.e. Business Unit Leader (BUL), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief information Officer (CIO) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

    • RID form completed by Project Team Lead, and/or BUL.

      Note

      May contact recruitment to reference previously used RID content. RIDs for backfills should be turned into recruiting within 48 hours to avoid sourcing delays.

    • Recruiters are notified of pending RID and review job function/requirements to verify RID is complete with all necessary info. If not, returned to initiator for completion.

  2. RID is approved or denied by COO and CTO (for engineering candidates) and all parties are notified of the result

    • If approved, Recruitment receives/reviews final version of RID and schedules an Intake Meeting with the Hiring Manager.
    • Intake Meeting: Recruiter and Hiring Manager discuss details and nuances of the role and communicate strategy for sourcing/screening/interviewing candidates. Recruiter may also provide ATS overview/instruction.
    • Recruiter posts the position to job boards and begins sourcing/screening process.

OUTPUTS

Approved Requisition ID

EXIT CRITERIA

Requisition ID approved or denied by COO and CTO within 48 hours
