PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to ensure that commercially available Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) platforms and services shall be researched and prototyped without the use of any government-owned source code or government-related project information and/or artifacts. The exploration of AI services is highly encouraged to ensure we evaluate potential team and customer benefits of related technologies, but sufficient safeguards must be in place to prevent unauthorized cybersecurity and Operations Security (OPSEC)-related disclosures.

SCOPE OF THE POLICY

This policy establishes organizational conditions/criteria for all InnovaSystems (ISI) product teams developing products and services in support of DoD/Government projects. This policy is also related to the Architectural Review Policy which limits the utilization of new technologies to be used in the delivery of our government contracts.

APPLICABILITY

Responsibility for complying with the AI Research and Usage policy belongs to all ISI personnel. Project Leads are accountable to ensure the team is adhering to this policy.

AUTHORITY AND COMPLIANCE

This policy is authorized by the COO and CTO and compliance with this policy will be evaluated through regular audits of AI research and usage. Results will be provided to the appropriate personnel and non-compliance/issues will be submitted to the Unit Leads and the Executive team for remediation and enforcement.

POLICY STATEMENT

The AI Research and Usage policy is intended to ensure that the practical application of commercially available AI platforms and services are researched and used safely and does not disclose government-related cybersecurity and/or OPSEC materials to said services in any way. The use of government-related: information, source code, data, and/or artifacts on any public system including ChatGPT, and other AI/ML platforms is strictly prohibited

InnovaSystems employees shall:
