POLICY STATEMENT¶
The ISI Measurement & Analysis Policy has been introduced to establish a formal organizational measurement program. While this program will include key functions and activities spanning the organization, a primary area of focus will be measuring the health and performance of software development projects throughout their lifecycle.
An effective measurement program will allow us to proactively track progress toward our objectives, and ensure appropriate action is taken to achieve these objectives.
Per this policy, InnovaSystems shall:
Define a set of processes to establish structure and expectations for the execution of measurement and analysis activities.
Establish an organizational measurement plan defining:
- Measurement objective(s)
- Metrics that will be used to measure progress toward measurement objectives
- Strategy for measurement data collection, analysis, and reporting
To the greatest extent possible, source measurement data from company-wide tooling, databases, etc., in alignment with the Application Lifecycle Management Tool Policy, to ensure data consistency and to allow data contrast and comparison.
Analyze measurement data to determine progress toward measurement objectives.
Use measurement data and findings from analysis when performing retrospective/performance reviews, in order to set a path for continued improvement.
