Work Breakdown Structure Policy¶

PURPOSE¶
The purpose of this document is to establish the policy for maintaining an accurate work breakdown structure (WBS) that aligns with contract award Performance Work Statements (PWS) for Government Projects within InnovaSystems, International LLC (ISI).
SCOPE OF THE POLICY¶
This policy defines the creation and maintenance of a WBS for all Government applications/software developed by ISI.
APPLICABILITY¶
Responsibility for creating and maintaining a WBS shall be divided among the Project Lead and Project Manager. Project Leaders must ensure that Project Managers are adhering to this policy by creating and maintaining a timely and accurate WBS throughout the application project lifecycle. Project personnel must ensure all project related work is clearly aligned with the major elements and sub elements structured within the WBS.
AUTHORITY AND COMPLIANCE¶
This policy is authorized by the COO. Compliance to this policy will be evaluated through an appraisal/audit process. Results will be provided to the appropriate personnel and non-compliance/issues will be submitted to the Business Unit Leads and the Executive team for remediation as part of the BUL/Executive Cadence.
POLICY STATEMENT¶
InnovaSystems shall:
- Create and maintain a WBS aligned to contractually obligated PWS elements.
- Major PWS elements shall be maintained in an Azure DevOps Epic work item form, to clearly show all related work delivered against each element.
- WBS alignment shall take into consideration: Task Order Period of Performance, Contract Deliverables (CDRLS), customer needs, customer timelines, emergent customer expectations, and or waivers.
