Traceability Matrix¶
A traceability matrix is a reference that identifies the software requirements allocated to each software component. Given a software requirement, it can be used to find which software components will or have implemented that requirement or conversely, given a software component, it can be used to find which software requirements where the basis for creating the component. The software components used in the tractability matrix must align with those defined in the Solution Architecture.
A Traceability Matrix is an optional part of the Solution Architecture but may be a required contract deliverable.
